Welcome to hockey for 2024...
There are a few changes for the 2024 winter season so we thought we would update you on those and the season dates.
After the successful trial and post 2023 season survey, the P2 grade will be a full Intercity competition with Auckland and Counties Manukau. This means that they will have games away at Auckland turfs as well as at Harbour this season. This gives the teams some new challenges which will be a nice change from the same five teams they have been playing at Harbour over the last few years. To accommodate the P2 Intercity only allowing one team per club the P3 Women's grade will move to a 10 team competition for 2024.
After many years of a very large D2 Men's competition this year finally sees the introduction of a D3 Men's grade. The eight team D2 grade will be a tightly fought contest which we predict will go right to the end of the season. The D3 Men's grade will play on Sundays and we will be interested to see how it develops in the next few years. Hopefully it will enable some of our more "experienced" players to keep playing for a few more years in much the same way the Women's D3 competition has done. ABC will have two D2 Men's teams and two D3 Men's teams in 2024.

Training Starts - 26th February
All Grades Championship Start Dates: Saturday 16 March or Sunday 17th March
No Play on public holiday weekends (Easter, Kings Birthday and Matariki)
Finals day - Saturday 24th August
