As a not-for-profit club, we are totally reliant on sponsorship, fund-raising, grants, donations, and our volunteers to function effectively. ABC Hockey believes the most cost-effective way to improve the hockey experience for all our members and our community outreach initiatives is to invest in a high-quality coaching development programme under James Coughlan our Director of Coaching (NZ Black Sticks: Rio 2016), using up-to-date thinking, equipment and software to deliver a team of club-trained coaches for every team and grade.
This is the main focus for where donations will be allocated, but if you have a specific request for how you want your donation to be used please let us know and we will always try to accommodate it.
We have five partner categories available for those wanting to support ABC Hockey, (see our Partners & Supporters page). The Business Supporters category is a tier 3 category, aimed at businesses who would like to get involved, but have limited budgets and are looking more for basic brand awareness and reach to our hockey whānau.
We ask for a minimum donation of $1,000 for a 12 month listing, but there's no upper limit to the amount you can give, so if you want to give a 'little extra' we would be very grateful and put it to good use right away!
We will add your company advert/listing to the slide deck above and a Business Supporter roundel across our website and digital communications collateral. Your brand can also be associated with one of the trophies given out at our annual prize giving night.
