Falcons win Premier Hockey League in thrilling penalty shoot out
Dom Dixon has had an outstanding Premier League campaign with the Central Falcons and received a very positive press in both weeks.
The final against the Southern Alpiners went to a penalty shoot out and NZ Hockey said "It was a day for the goalkeepers Dom Dixon and George Enerson, with only one of the five penalty shootout attempts going in (from Stephen Jenness) and a number of field goal attempts brilliantly saved." Dom has indicated a willingness to take part in a fund raiser shoot out in the New Year.
ABC was well represented in the Men's tournament with James Coughlan, Netesh Sukha and Isaac Houlbrooke representing the Northern Tridents.
