ABC players star in the final of the Sentinel Premier League

After an exciting two weeks of hockey the Central Falcons emerged victorious with ABC players, Casey Crowley (ABC Prem Captain), Olivia Shannon and Hope Ralph winning Gold Medals as the Central Falcons to beat the Northern Tridents (who had Liv Crum in their line up) by three goals to one. Another ABC player, Holly Pearson, was in the Falcons squad but unfortunately injured.

This tournament brought together the top women players in New Zealand in a four team regional format which resulted in a very high standard of hockey with four competitive teams fighting hard in each game.

The Women's Premier team won ABC team of the year this year, missing out by a fraction on the Inter City championship. The team is very young and it is great to have five players facing off in the final of the top domestic hockey tournament in New Zealand. The team is very well positioned to grow again next year with the gold medalists replacing the Black and Yellow of the Falcons with the Yellow and Black of ABC.
